Originally we are from Brantford, Ontario where Don owned and operates Steertech Performance and Laurie worked for the City of Brantford. We have vacationed and boated in the Kawarthas for decades. We loved it so much that we moved here full time in 2017 and opened up the 2nd location for Steertech.

We always believed in the benefit of feeding raw to our dogs. It started when we got Sami, our female Doberman, and started her on her raw journey. Zoey, who was a rescue, came next and the changes to her were very evident when we switched her to raw. Rip, our male Doberman, was fed raw from the start and has been thriving. When we rescued Marley, a Frenchton – he was nine years old when he joined us, he was switched immediately to a raw diet. The biggest change was in him. He was leaner, had more energy and devoured his food. In fact, he goes around and checks to make sure nothing was left in the other dogs’ bowls.

We believed in the raw food diet so much that when the opportunity came to purchase K9Raw® from Mike and Brenda, we jumped at the chance. As long-time customers of K9Raw®, we were very excited about continuing the success Mike and Brenda started. Don’s son Dalton and his wife Ashley as well as other family members joined in this venture to make it truly a family affair.

We love dogs! In addition to helping you feed your furbaby the best raw food possible, we also have partnered to open Riley’s Pup Club, by Tails and Trails. This is not your average doggie daycare. We don’t do overcrowded chaos.There is structure, rest and fun – all lead by dog savvy staff who understand canine body language. We believe your dog deserves more than a place to kill time – they deserve a place to thrive.
